We aren't forcing him to stay if no one makes an offer.
We could tell him that and he can leave in January or stay on if we look like going up.

I do see what you're saying, but if he doesn't want to be here he doesn't want to be here- regardless of whether anyone wants him or not. Plus it's clear clubs do want him, the sticking point seems to be the price. If he ends up not getting a move, he'll feel like we played hard ball in order to force him to stay. We don't need any more disruptive influences this season. Plus I don't think he'd ever have come without his mate Mbia from OM, who was conspicuous by his absence at the weekend- and is presumably off as well.

I said earlier this week he won't play for us again and I'm sure he's off. The Toon might just be crackers enough to pay the £8m for him and take their chances on the court case

All this 'minor injury' guff is just a smokescreen

I have to agree with Grifter. If a player's not willing then there's no point having them around. We need to gather momentum as a Club and individuals like Remy who don't want to be there can only hinder that.

You're too hardline, Flyer.

Well its worked for Cesar, we turned down a loan from Inter and and looks like we've got three million for him.

There is no hardball, he has a release fee the same as we paid for him.

I won't be happy if we don't get a fee even if he's charged.

£2m is not a lot when you think the difference he would make to our season.

Agree. unless we get the £8m release up front I can't see any sense in this, £2m is a paltry amount compared to the difference he'd make to our season & how much is promotion worth?

Now this could be pure speculation or there could be quite some truth to it .............. you choose.

Remy has now be unavailable all pre season, why? Could it be that he is one of the ones who wants to move on and does not want to be tarnished playing Championship football? Must be too good for him.
Consider that Remy, for how many weeks now has always had 'just a small niggle' to keep him out of our games, regardless of where they were played .............. What is the real truth?
A niggle does not keep you out of all the games.

I'm thinking that he does not want to play for our great club in the second tier division. Like Harry has said, " there are one or two that want to move on, regardless".
This is just my gut feeling but something does not quite add up ................. Put it this way, if he wanted to stay, Harry would say so and put off any club coming in asking ............. well, this is not the case and each week there seems to be some interest.

Now it looks like Newbie-castle are trying to sign off on him.
He had my full support but not anymore .................. he can bugger off.
