As its so obvious to you only, can you explain who is having these negotiations, AVB said he isn't, as you well know Levy is our main negotiator....and he's been on a family holiday in Florida for two weeks, thats how bothered he is....OBVIOUSLY this little bit of factual news has slipped your attention.
according to a Liverpool fan on the Manchester board, bale has only been good for one season and because Suarez was a goal machine in holland ( as was kuyt and Alfonso alves) then we should look at each players overall career stats to determine how much they are worth, is that normally how Liverpool fans think or has this one just had too many co-op high strength lagers?
He is half right. Suarez has a better goal scoring record than Cavani for club and country. He has won the Copa America, got to a World Cup Semi final, Uruguay's top goal scorer and has club honours. So for me, he is worth more than Cavani and easily worth more than Bale. This sums up the Bale transfer best: please log in to view this image
That logic isn't relevant as you're attempting to try and match transfers and what a players worth based on how you the fans rate a players record. Also international records aren't relevant to club fees, in terms of how much a player is worth. Remember the only people who believe suarez is worth more the bale, are connected with Liverpool or suarez, the only people who say bale is worth 100 million are Madrid ( if they bid ). Also you're forgetting bale has only played one season as a forward, he is far from the finished article, so Madrid not only view him as the better player, they also see the potential. but anyway, bales only been good for one season, must have been a fluke
No fluke, he is a world class player, but hasn't been around or performing for long enough to be worth the fees that are rumoured.
worth it to who? a random Liverpool fan on a Web forum or the world's biggest club? the fee may be crazy to the fans but fees go up every year and you only truly find out a players worth after they perform for the buying club.
If you're really going to compare Suarez and Bale, then you need to write up another list, just like the Ronaldo one. On the left you can put the long list of things that Suarez has done to earn bans and totally destroy any commercial value he has and the right would stay equally empty. Comparing team awards is a pretty ludicrous way of coming up with a player's value, by the way, especially at international level. I'm sure that Ronaldo's proud of his Chamapions League medal, though.
Hannibal Lecter was at the top of his profession, a pretty good psychologist/profiler, but wasn't worth a lot to his employer because he kept eating people. Goofy has too many skeletons in his cupboard, (hopefully not literally), but it devalues him significantly. Bale is worth at least twice as much, probably three times as much with his marketing value. If Sewerage was worth anything on the marketing front he would already be a Real Madrid player.
Exactly why the Mousers should bite (excuse the pun) the Goons hand off for an offer of £40m, I doubt any other team is going to match or improve on that offer with Sewerez`s considerable baggage and zero commercial value. I can see the Mousers being lumbered with an unhappy Goofy, who will not perform to his best and who will no doubt continue to drag the name of Liverfool FC through the mud.
Maybe Suarez usurps Lecter at the top of his profession if he does actually keep skeletons in his cupboard ?
Surprised nobody has mentioned Bale's two PotY awards. If you're measuring the standing of individual players (rather than the clubs they play for), then these awards would be relevant, wouldn't they?

Now, before you all chip in with "Goofy, of course, you muppet!" let's examine the evidence, here. Yes, we all know about Goofy's deplorable on-field antics and his penchant for casual racism, whereas the most that Whinger could, before now, ever be accused of was brutality to water-bottles, a liking for wearing his duvet rather than sleeping under it, and an incredible ability to never see the dirty fouls and cheats that his players routinely engaged in. I'll concede that, based on previous conduct, Goofy wins hands down. However, hasn't Whinger shown himself to be, in reality, no better than Goofy? Perhaps even worse? You see, despite the trailer-trash manner in which Goofy conducts himself, his complete and utter lack of professionalism, taste for human flesh, casual racism, etc, Whinger clearly has no shame in trying to sign the fella! Keen observers will, for example, have noted that no other club has come in for the worthless piece of ordure, yet Whinger has made Goofy his No.1 target. Utterly unbelievable! The man really does know no shame. And what of Arsenal fans? They who, last season were jumping all over Goofy and stamping his name into the dirt (where it belongs), and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with us normal fans - what of them? All back-tracked and turned 180 degrees! The word "fickle" does not even begin to describe them. Sure, some may say that they're not happy about it, but secretly they are rubbing themselves raw at the thought that Goofy and his twenty cases of appalling baggage will shortly be arriving at the door to their club. I don't know about the rest of you, but it makes me feel soiled. I actually pity the Mousers and 'Pool over this entire dreadful and shameful episode, and I join whole-heartedly with them in decrying the disgraceful manner in which Goofy has treated a once-great club. Only sensible replies to this post, please - no wumming. Thank you.
