At last I got round to committing some of my hard earned cash (LOL) to owning at least a small part in a racehorse, or at least what I hope will be a racehorse. I have bought a share, one of twenty, in an unraced three year old filly. She is by Presenting out of an unraced Luso mare called Trendy Attire and she herself will be called PRESENT TREND. At the moment she is in Ireland in pre training but will be coming over very soon to be an inmate at Charlie Longsdon's yard at Chipping Norton. With the pedigree she has you would think that you wont see the best of her until she goes chasing. Presenting is known for producing some of the best chasers we have seen in the last ten years, Denman, War Of Attrition, Woolcombe Folly etc and Luso is famed for producing good chasing stock too. I of course will want to see her in a mares bumpers and she has joined a good yard that do pretty well in NH flat races. I will hopefully keep the forum updated with her progress whilst trying not to bore the pants off you all. Tried to upload a pic of her but proved beyond me and the site but there is one of her on my twitter posts if any of you want to take a look @stickthetip
Best of luck with her Stick. The mare's programme is expanding all the time and you can plot a nice career via mares only bumpers, hurdles and chases and never have to take on the geldings!
Good luck with that Stick, something I have thought about often but never quite been able to persuade myself to take the plunge. May she bring you a lot of fun and in time even a nice touch or two at the bookies.
Looks nice but then my expertise in this area extends to checking that she has the the correct number of legs. Regular updates certainly wouldn't bore me as this is something I'd love to do in time. Very best of luck and hope she brings you plenty of enjoyable days out.
Good luck with your adventure stick, im sure that we will all be glad to hear of any news to do with her... Im sure SBC would say it but, its 'a lovely name for a mare that'...
BTW stick ............... don't let McCoy anywhere near her. Is Fehily the stable jock for Longsdon these days?
Nice one, Stick. Hope she proves out of the top drawer and leads to many a jovial interview in the ‘winner’s enclosure’ with the lovely Ems Spencer. You’re in safe hands with old boy Charlie. As, of course, his former guv’nor, Mr Henderson, taught him everything he knows.
