I remember Dirk Kuyt was the new Shearer when Liverpool signed him, players signed from the dutch league are more hit and miss then any league but one thing that seems apparent with the Belgium players like Verts, Dembele & Vermaelen is that that are incredibly inconsistent after looking superb at first.

So I won't expect much from Chadli in his first year.

I had the same thought watching Chadli, to tell you the truth, just because he's a fast, tall guy who can find the net from long range after cutting in.

If he's nearly as good as Vertonghen or Dembele I'll be pleased. But, yeah, I'd rather we hang on to the old Bale...I think he may still be a bit better.
