no I have not been drinking, I really think that rangers will win this league easily and fill your boots at 5-1, still kept a good squad of players, clever tactics loaning players out to take them back when rangers get promoted again, strengths prem goalie, good defenders, a great buy dunne was, strong midfield, with Zamora a.j and Austin to get loads of goals, with a top manager cant see it any other way, better team now when you won the league, lets just hope there is no faurlin issue like last time

Your undying faith in us is really rather touching FT, how much did you lose courtesy of our high powered squad last year? Good luck mate, I may hold back til we are 10 games in.....

Thanks FT. I'll take winning the league by one point at this stage, never mind five.

It's the best squad in the Championship by a country mile but we all know its not that simple in this division.

I actually think Charlie Austin could swing it, a proven striker at that level at the peak of his powers. The important thing is getting off to a win tomorrow to set the tone. If the manager, fans and players are all on side I have no doubt QPR will get out this division. I have tipped Bolton to win it but I do believe you guys will get playoffs at the very least, I'm thinking more 2nd place though. It would be great for London football if we could have more Southern teams in the top flight.

Good post District, a good start is absolutely vital. When we won the league we had an incredible start, literally everything went right. I dont expect the same sort of run (unbeaten in 18 games), but a good start with a few wins is vital. Getting that winning feeling back.

But currently, I dont think we are good enough for playoffs. A week ago I said we would struggle, but since then we have played well at Southend and got a much needed striker in. Mid-table or slightly higher currently. Get 2 wingers, a CB and another ST and then I will predict us to get a higher position.

Are you forgetting we are QPR?

We have perfected the art of shooting ourselves in the foot to Olympic standards

As SB says ill reserve judgement until we're a few games in

Agree, 8-10 games is normally the time you can judge how the season will pan out.

Too many reputations are on the line now. I see it being more of a Newcastle situation than a Wolves. No game in the Championship is crucial up until January/February but as you've said, if you guys get off to a positive start anything can happen. It is set to be very open this year.

Though I'm fairly ignorant about the Championship, I'd say there are a few strong looking teams about - Watford, Forest, Bolton, Wigan, Reading, Brighton. Charlton and Leeds might have something too, Blackburn may regroup, then there are loads of bastard teams capable of beating all on their day - Millwall, Burnley, Derby....

It'll be scrappy, ugly and tight, but a good run even late in the season can get you in the mix. I hope we don't have to rely on that though, would like a serene, relaxing and joyful season from day one.
