Sky sports sources saying we're interested. Get the impression he'd be happy walking from West Brom to any other PL club. Scores goals at PL level. What do you think?
Agree he doesn't seem to be Malkys type. He is proven at this level and I seem to remember him being linked to 'bigger' clubs (Arsenal?) a while back. I really don't think he is what we need though. We seem to have a few selection headaches for our forward positions already.
Better than Maynard and FC? Really Stevo. At 32, maybe he's had his time. Of the the two players you mention, I think Maynard will surprise everyone this season. From what I've seen of Fraizer in the warm up games so far, he looks a little heavy and a bit off the pace. I think Cornelius and Maynard could be a stellar partnership. Fraizer needs to work as hard as he did when he came to us from Sunderland last season to get to a decent fitness level or he'll only last half a game from what I've seen. He was way off the pace then and currently looks much the same as he did then. I still say the priority now is that defensive midfielder to break down the other sides - where the hell is Capoue?
On his way if whats being touted is true, and i wouldn't argue with it at the moment, although I wouldn't be shocked if another under the radar signing was to be had.
I did say probably Sparks! He scored consistently for Brom until the unpleasantness, FC has never really proved himself at PL level and Maynard is untried. I too think Maynard could be a real surprise package but Odemwingie is proven and even at 32 should have at least a year or 2 in him.
Apparently he was watching the Dinas Powys game but they wouldn't let him join in Seriously Odemwingie is a difficult call as Stevo says he is proven and probably has something left in him but there is something about him that puts you off.
That something is parking outside QPR's ground on deadline day. It was very embarrassing for him. Aside from that I don't think he has too many other misdemeanors on his record, but it does mean someone may get a bargain.
