you are right there are no certainties. you disagreeing is fine, its just my opinion i can certainly see i might well be totally wrong.
You have to wonder how much control players give their agents to act on their behalf. I'm sure Suarez' agent couldn't care less about the club, just putting his client first after all when Suarez goes all the vitriole will be going his way and not the agents. As long as they get their slice of the action, not bothered about players reputations or fans etc .....
I think agents put their cut first- not the player's interests. After all, the most money is not always the only criterion for a player, but it seems to be for the agent.
Theoretically, of course. But players aren't always the brightest stars in the firmament and I'm sure a wily agent can tell them what to think a lot of the time.
Presumably what he sees, rightly or wrongly, as the best for his career, but as I'm not in his head I can't say for sure what he's thinking and neither can anyone else. However, I was responding to the discussion about the influence agents have on a player agitating for a move and their priorities.
But would a player normally want to go to a better team to win trophies ( are Arsenal REALLY going to give him that?) or earn money. Would a bigger transfer fee not also be what an agent would want? Bigger cuts, sign on fees, etc? The arbitration for me shows that he wants out and doesn't care about to who and doesn't care that we value him ( God forbid) at a much higher standard that 40 mil ( +1). Johnsonsbaby- I understand there is a trust factor, but that all went with Suarez when Kenny Dalglish TRUSTED him to shake Evra's hand and he didn't, when we trusted him to learn from his mistakes and he didn't time and time again. If he stays, score the goals Luis, but don't you dare kiss the crest.
I don't think I'd want to be in his head now or ever Here's a thought. If he ends up staying, and he doesn't want to be here, what the **** will he be up to when he's served his ban?
Also, it is no coincidence that many of the clubs legends are saying we should be rid, playrs who have been here, won trophies, know about the club and the loyalty. The only thing I hope ( pray for actually) is that we spend the money correctly.
I would expect him to be professional and get on with the job he's paid a bleedin' fortune to do. If he sulks, then who knows? But it's pointless shouting before you're hurt.
12.45 BST: And more on Luis Suarez: Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said his star striker "totally understands" the club's unwillingness to sell him. Suarez, 26, has made it clear he wants to leave Anfield, with Arsenal keen to sign him and Real Madrid also linked with a move. Liverpool have said he cannot go for any less than £50 million.
It's cool, Rodgers told him to have dinner an hour before kickoff and he's been given the new list of bad words You're an abusive auld hag today, pension tax go up again? Lose your bus pass?
I'm not on about sulking saint. If he bites when he wants to be here, what the **** will he do when he doesn't? Shoot some ****er?
100% agree. Trust should permeate the whole structure. Club trusts the players and fans, players trust the club and manager, fans trust the players and club .... and micro manage that as far as you like
