Is an echo writer and tweeting some interesting stuff, says vaughan is leaning towards a move to west brom rather than us, not too much of a loss there. Says there is definite interest in Catts and Hendo from Liverpool but they prefer catts for a price of around 10m but could be complicated because of various clauses in Catts contract. That is all.
I like Cattermole but Colback has been excellent recently. He looks calm, composed and has a left foot which I think is pretty important seen as there's pretty much only him and Richardson in the squad with a left foot! We also have Meyler who looked very decent before his injury and hopefully he'll be around before too long. I'd be happy for him to be in our first team come August. It's also good to see another local lad in the team. Here's hoping Noble, Cook, Knott etc get their chance too.
I am going to pick him up now before he has time to think about it. I have even bought him a Liverpool shirt to wear and a camera to take pics, just incase he says he is not interested, ill post the pics. I don't think there will be a super injunction
Cattermole for 10m would be a decent deal for us in fairness. I'd sooner keep Henderson and cash in on Catts (who I am a huge admirer of to be honest) but who has missed far too many games imo with injuries. It would be a huge mistake however to throw Collback in as a straight replacement when the lad only has 7 or 8 EPL games to his name. Catts out for 10m and Palacios in for 14m. 4m net spend for a far better player IMO.
Surely Meyler is a better replacement for Catts as opposed to Colback? although i do like the Palacios deal if it would come off.
we may have missed out on him Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios will discover in the next 48 hours if he has secured a £7m move to Napoli. Palacios has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane following the emergence of Brazilian midfielder Sandro. The Honduran international has also struggled with knee problems, but he is determined to get his career back on track and Napoli, who have qualified for the Champions League, are keen to strengthen their squad. Palacios arrived at Tottenham for £12m back in January 2009 and was a star performer at White Hart Lane in his early days at the club but he has failed to produce that same form in the last 12 months. Reports in Italy suggest Tottenham will give Napoli a decision over his future by the weekend and it is expected that a deal will be finalised. Palacios said: "The next few days will be key for my future. There are advanced negotiations but I will await news from London
Hi there guys, Fairly new to this so be gentle. I think Colback could cut it based on what I have seen. agree that he is young but you gotta think that there was a time when players like scholes, beckham, butt etc only had a few games under their belt for Man U. Fergie stuck with them and the rest is history as they say. Not necessarily suggesting that Jackie boy could be as good as them lot but he never will be if he doesnt get his chance.
