Bale on his way

    Oh, sweet Lord, DL!

It's bad enough that you post a link to a Fail Online so-called "article," but one written by an infamous Talk5hite wum! You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one, mate.

Durham hates Spurs, as anyone who has listened to that twat's radio programs and rants will readily have observed. He is about as biased as one can imagine in a journo, and his style is sensationalism at its gutter-snipe worst.

Where in that article does Durham report on any actual quotes from Bale or Levy? I'll save you the effort by answering that one for you - nowhere.

Where in that article is there any attempt at analysis as to (a) whether or not Real can actually afford to buy Bale (bearing in mind they still owe us £12.5m for Modric), (b) the fact that British players have all failed miserably abroad, (c) the emotional burden and stress that Bale will have to carry if he is to live up to the reputation of being the world's most expensive player at a club like Real?

I'll save you the effort of going back and looking - nowhere.

That trashy article is nothing more than an anti-Spurs rant, full of spite and ignorance. As such, the wums on this board will absolutely love it.

Where did I say I agreed with the post? I just said it was pretty scathing.

Durham isn't anti-Spurs, he's anti-everyone. Winds people up all year.

Oh no. You've disliked my post too and I appear to have upset you. Christ knows how the missus puts up with you if you are actually like this. If you're not, why the incessant need to be aggessive on the internet? Quite bizarre either way.

Everybody knows Adrian Durham is an a***hole.

That being acknowledged my guess is Bale does want to leave..Levy is unpleasant but hung onto Modric for a year although I reckon the little man did not play that well so it was probably not worth it. Perhaps if the spuds agreed he could leave in a year that would work best. Chavski of course would like a potential rival,in the spuds to lose their best player.

Trouble for Spiv Levy is that he's already had his fingers burned once when he held little Lucy Modric hostage and then lost out on millions when he was forced to sell him less than a year later. When you look at the cold facts, Bale has had one very good season at Spurs, but that's about it, Next season he could struggle to recreate that form.

His head has already been turned and Real will get their man, whether it's now or next summer. The question for the Spuds is do they want to cash in now whilst his stock is high, or wait until next season, where loss of form and a year of frustration at being held hostage, may mean his value tumbles and spurs are forced to sell him for around a third of what they are being offered now.

he would go up in price though if he has another good year, loss of form through Frustration is rubbish,he know's he will have to play his best,or Real will turn their back, thinking he is a one season wonder, win, win for us

In your dreams. Bale's head has been very much turned by the prospect of playing for a big club. If you don't cash in now, Real will wear you down until it becomes unfeasible for him to stay. If Bale doesn't recreate the form of last season, Real will be offering less and less. The smart move would be to cash in now.

Its the yearly pre season sojourn for the yids to frequent the Chelsea board crying that their players are not leaving and are signing for another three years only to see the spiv Levi sell them off only to replace them with second class mis-fits and cast offs like Holtby and Sideways Parker.

You'd think the twat's would know the scenario by now. <laugh><laugh>

You are the NOT606 equivalent of Durham aren't you Piskie making deliberately provocative posts in order to generate a response (well today you have got me to bite, I dont very often), but I am going to take Spurs side here (sorry Chelsea fans I know this is on your board), Firstly Bale has had 3.5 good seasons and Spurs have finished 4, 5, 4, 5 in those 4 seasons granted thats Behind Arsenal and Chelsea each time, but consistently higher than they have generally finished in the premier league. Secondly you are choosing to believe all the RM led media hype surrounding this, No one has actually got hold of a quote from Bale stating that he wants to leave (feel free to correct me if I am wrong), he might decide he owes Levy one more season and he might be as good again and his value would then remain high I dont have the benefit of your crystal ball to be as sure as you to seem to be that he will fail to live up to expectations, this time last year you were hoping RVP would fall on his face (that turned out well didnt it), finally Modric, the Sunderland poster suggested Modric didnt play well in his last season, I think most Spurs fans were more than happy with his performances (though he did miss the first 2 matches to get his head straight), and though Chelsea offered more for Modric than they eventually received from RM, they did more than double their money on him (so didn't actually lose money on him) and he did help them in finish 4th that season with prize money that goes with that which they may not have done without him.

Adebayor was the direct cause of two of those finishes and Bales one good year accounting for the other one. Both are likely not to be as influential as one will be flogged to the highest bidder and the other one would have trouble breaking into Brentford's 1st eleven.
