First game versus Hull City

We did pretty well at the Bridge last time, 0-0 in 08/09 and that 2-1 defeat on 09/10 opening day when we were pretty unfortunate with Drogba scoring from a cross. I still expect us to lose, 2-1 again I reckon.
 
I expect a high scoreline. No disrespect to Hull but newly promoted clubs at the bridge on the first day always get a bit of a battering, and I expect us to be full throttle.

No disrespect taken, everyone will be expecting that, we have nothing to lose, all the pressure will be on Chelsea & Mourinho.
 
I think we will win. We've done alright against Steve Bruce sides, hope that continues.

Got a feeling Hull are gonna come out all guns blazing and give it a good go.

Didn't Sunderland beat you 3-0 at the Bridge in 2010? You probably thumped them in all the other games, that's just the one that stands out with it having been more odd.

That's what I expect, similar to 2009/10 where we had a much worse team, unfortunately (for us) I think you did too.

I dont do predictions, but when we welcome the Special One back to SB, there's only one result that could possibly happen, whoever the opposition are!
 
As long as we don't get mauled with that tragic arm motion! <laugh>

No in all seriousness I expect a good entertaining game... I reckon 3-1 Chelsea with Hull scoring first.

As for players to be scared of... Erm... George Boyd is a top player... Think he'll do well in the prem. Looking forward to this game. Hopefully you sell your away allocation and it will be a brilliant atmosphere for Jose's first game.
