Why has Grosjean been penalised after the race? I don't feel he can be aggrieved at that penalty, but it happened before the Massa incident even. He's lucky because he would have been in traffic and would have probably lost 6th to Button had he been given it in the race.
I think it's partly because the stewards don't want to seem influenced by the idea of "evening things up" when they're making their decision. In reality all it does is delay the outcome of such decisions and make them seem useless.
Alonso under investigation misuse of Drs. The royal baby dedicates his win to his gangster girl Nicole. Better to give Alonso a penalty. Keeps Hamiltons competitors away from him
http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2013/903/7239/pit_stop_summary.html Nothing wrong except for a ridiculously long last stint, where he probably should have pitted
Vergne's stops: 1: 22.745 2: 22.282 3: 23.756 AVE: 22.928 Ricciardo's stops: 1: 24.033 2: 21.996 AVE: 23.015 Hardly anything in it. The three stopper was the quicker strategy though, anyone know how far behind Vergne Ricciardo finished?
Really? I remember hearing something like 15 seconds was lost in the first stop. Bizarre. He only ended up a couple of tenths behind I think.
Hamilton is right to play down the car. Good strategy ... The other teams will turn their eyes elsewhere sit back and wait for his tyres to fade...but the time they catch themselves it's be too late...lol
It's silly really. That was a very clear cut incident and even Grosjean admitted fault immediately. Maybe they were trying to even things up a bit after his dodgy drive-through given that they waited and ended up giving him the harshest penalty they could that wouldn't cost him a place. He now finishes 1.2 seconds ahead of Button, i hate it because they were actually fighting a very close battle for 6th place and nobody had any idea it was happening.
Wow respect for Massa saying Romain being penalised for that overtake was wrong by the stewards saying it was fair. WOW! stewards are a shambles at the moment if a rival comes out saying that!
Alonso investigated for DRS breach: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/109069 I noticed JB using it when he didn't have a car in front too, I don't know if a backmarker had pitted just before but there was no one ahead on track.
Oh dear Alonso: Gary Marshall ‏@MarshallGP 1m @alo_oficial under investigation for illegal use of DRS, 3 times using it while more than a second behind Vettel! Red Bull are going to nail him for this. This isn't the first time either he did it against Rosberg at Bahrain if you remember.
