Liverpool have more chance of winning the Champions League next season than finishing fourth.

@yoda - some pool fans think you'll do even better than 4th :P - TBH Liverpool getting 4th would be a brilliant season for you lot and above what your capable of. I will be very suprised if you can even break the top 5. 6th should be your target this season i think. With Moyes leaving Everton you have a chance to go past them now.

Everton will be the dark horses, was their limited sucess last season due to the quality of the team , or Moyes solid tactics.

Liverpool will just do what liverpool do .

try hard , very hard , and fail by quite a way .

Liverpool's main weakness for me is their forward line. They need a better striker, Suarez is not able to lead the line on his own, he's not that kind of player. Studge is great though. Borini is painful average. Aspas untested. Beyond that, there is not much else.

You forget young Coutinho - Our best offensive player by a mile. Not seen a player with his awareness in the PL since Silva was at his best a couple of years back. His passing (and shooting) ability is off the scale, and he's only 20.

Suarez or not - trust me we have plenty of offensive ammo. If Suarez goes then that will be strengthened no doubt.

What the hell have you been smoking, the lad did ok in the first 6 months, but declaring him the new messi is going a bit to far.

The other issue of course, is if you decide to sell Suarez to Madrid. They are not going to pay top dollar and that's what you will require to replace Suarez in your side. Selling him to Arsenal on the other hand guarantees you at least 35-40m. Your club will have to decide, what's it gonna be?

@astro

So you come at me with some rude nonsense putting down Arsenal and myself. I reply back with well thought out replies which completely blow your opinions out of the water.....Naturally all you then reply is "LOLZ NO TROFIES 8 YERS HAR HAR!!11!!!1!"

I'll take that as you conceeding on all your previous points - good debate buddy.

@other pool fans -

Seriously stop all the sad crap about rep - who gives a **** how much bum licking you can all do to each other? What sad state of affairs is your real life that you are so desperate for a little fake recognition on a forum? (And i say fake as if your having to go around asking for rep your clearly not getting it for the right reasons!).

Take that stupid **** back to your own board or keep it to PM's - otherwise our angry old men mods will deal with your nonsense!

Lad I was just pointint out that if you're going to do a comparison of Arsenal and LFC recent achievements, but don't actually know (and hence ignore) LFC's achievements then it's all a bit pointless. It wasn't a big deal that was supposed to go on for multiple pages <ok>

And those of us who are rep whores know it is meaningless. It's just a game so don't worry.

Are you mentally stable?

No offense but we've rejected a bid above that and have demanded 50mil+ for a slim chance of you signing him.

Personally Id rather sell to Madrid for 40mil than to Arsenal for 50mil....All your eggs seem to be in one basket. Whereas we've already signed some great (but unproven PL players) and also have the possibility of the Suarez money to splash out on.

It's pretty much a win win situation for Liverpool as we signed Suarez about 2 years ago for 23mil. So double bubble for us :)

We have bought some attackers for that reason. Whether or not they will be good enough remains to be seen, so at the moment I consider our forward line more of a question than a weakness. The CDM/CB area is where I think we are weak.
