With BA Moyes in charge you could give them Fabregas,Rooney and Ronaldo and it would make **** all difference.

  3. The United fans have arrogantly dismissed the influence that the manager has on the narrow margins in professional football. They seem to believe that United finishing top of the league all those years had nothing whatsoever to do with Fergie, and that they could put any old muppet in charge (as they have done) and the results will be the same. It is very similar to the kind of arrogance that the Mousers demonstrated in the days prior to the meltdown at 'Pool.

Whilst Moyes is in charge, no player of any real note will want to go to United. Indeed, the players of note that United currently possess will all gradually leave.

I cannot see United go anywhere other than backwards.

What's funny, is for so many years they bleated on about how great Fergie was and now he's gone they seem to think employing someone who has not won jack will result in some sort of seemless transition.

    Big time.

They have a good squad but they know fergie got the best out of some reletively average players. Their current starting 11 is nothing to fear and no scholes this year, giggs and rio a year older, rooney discontented. Going to be an interesting season for them.

I don't understand the antipathy towards Moyes (other than the Utd connection). He is a top manager and has overachieved with the resources he had at Everton. Will he maintain their place at the top of the league, I don't know, but he'll do a decent job. Hopefully not as well as Fergie though. The jury's out for me, but a lot of Chelsea fans seem to have reached a verdict already. M'lud.

SD, United have pretty much had it their own way for so long so why not take the chance to have a lttle fun with their worries. ;)

Moyes did a good job at Everton but he's done nothing yet to suggest he can keep United winning trophies or competing in the C.L. He may do but the jury is very much out. Lets not forget that Everton are still a very big club and he won nothing in 10 years despite Spurs, Birmingham, Swansea, Portsmouth winning trophies in that time. Even Cardiff made it to more cup finals than Everton did in that period.

Whilst Everton didn't have a lot of money, that kept the real pressure off Moyes where as at United he'll be expected to compete and win trophies consistently.

Lets put it this way, I'd be a damn sight more worried if United had hired Jose, Pep or Ancelotti.

Strange do you think Borussia Dortmund were thinking the same thing when they employed Jurgen Klopp?

Had Dortmund just had 20 odd years of unrivaled success?

Look up Klopp's record before joining Dortmund on July 1 2008 and come back to me.

That's very true Drogs. The last time a manager kept a club at the top for almost that long was Shankly at Liverpool. And look how badly they went down the ****ter when they replaced him with a 50 odd year old with no top level managerial experience and no trophies to his name.

    Oh, hang on...

  19. If Moyes proves us all wrong, I'll be the first to own up to it, trust me.

But don't try and make out that you are not worried that Moyes is little more than a clown who is going to screw up everything that Fergie built.

    And????

There's a phrase that starts something like 'one swallow...'

These United fans are getting more and more defensive by the day. But then look who they hired and look at their pre season form. I'd be worried to; especially if I only supported my club due to their constant success up till now. <whistle>
