I've a cousin in Canada who lived in Ireland for about a year of his life, and last time I was over he was going to work (as a painter/decorator) with a 'Tiocfaidh Ar La' t-shirt on.

It seems the further away from all this nonsense you are the more romanticised it becomes - and the more of a minority your ethnic background is the more you will feel the need to let that ethnicity define you as an individual, and publicly display it.

Not necessarily romanticised. Remoteness can often offer a different perspective.

What's this ... the Irish causing problems!

Surely not! No, the Irish would never do anything like that!

Heaven forfend that anyone would generalise on this humble portal.

You are of course right. Celtic are a Scotch club which is why it is right and proper that the support recognise that.

Mon the Scotch<ok>

was in the porto end and that view, as great as it was, made me feel a little sad

Love your club? Why not show your support by damaging the stadium and constantly getting your club into trouble with the local football authority, the police and UEFA.

Nothing says "I :emoticon-0152-heart Celtic" more than acting the **** <ok>

The end to end chanting has captured people's attention across them continent, just like the whole stadium doing the huddle. Shame the flares and fireworks are let off. Wouldn't like to see the GB go.
Celtic have be careful that they do not alienate a large section of the support. Have the club sat down and talked to them. I mean two way, not dictating. The GB certainly create an atmosphere and some of the displays are brilliant. The four horsemen always brings a smile to my face, especially since it marks the death of a club, which operated a sectarian employment policy and refused laterally to pay the social taxes, which may have alleviated social conditions and saved the lives of our forces abroad, providing them with better equipment, but lack of funding due to tax dodgers proved to be a killer.

Rangers are now responsible for the death of our armed forcers over seas - i dunno whether that is the most ******ed thing i've ever heard or the most brilliant. You msut be on some serious acid.

No, he's either a first rate WUM or someone with severe emotional problems. Possibly both.

I lived in montreal, it did not make me want to walk around with a st Andrews flag wrapped round me.

Did get bought a sh!t load of drinks every time i opened my mouth though <cheers>

Went to Halifax Nova Scotia a couple of times and couldn't believe all the white flags with blue crosses on them. And the number of ex pat scots was unreal <laugh>
