Playing for Stoke right now against the Houston Dynamo. Came on in second half. Report I am receiving is he's a big lad, doing ok, very composed and comfortable on the ball, doesn't give it away. Looks a bit to be lacking in fitness. All the Stoke players are wearing heart rate monitors, nothing but a fitness exercise for them.
Have Stoke said whether he's in their plans or not? Or is Sparky waiting to see if he's any good first? If he isn't match fit, then the sooner we get him in for pre season the better.
It says here Sparky wants to keep him: http://www.clubcall.com/stoke-city/palacios-to-remain-a-potter-1609788.html? Dunno if that's final, or if WP will request a transfer.
Apparently he is still very good and all the Stoke fans think so too, but Pulis just didn't like him and that's how Pulis was, sounds a bit like Phil Brown..
He wasn't match fit all last season. Know a Stoke ST holder and he told me he isn't the same player and has been (naturally) badly affected by the tragic incident that ultimately led to his brother being murdered. It's a huge shame as I remember some of the performances he put in for Wigan which led to a big transfer to Spurs
Looks like that's that then. Chalobah for me. Or, how much do you think Celtic would want for Scott Brown?
Scott Brown (whoever he is) is much to big a player for a little Premiership club like us. If he's played for Celtic he'll command the attention of Champions League clubs. I believe Cliftonville have expressed an interest.
Mark Hughes linked with other midfielders in the media today so who knows where that leaves Wilson Palacios. TWT as it always does.
I would guess that if anyone has a chance to get him it would be SB, as Sparky and him were team mates as Manure.
I think Palacios would have been good on a free or for cheap. Someone with lack of fitness and injury issues should not be bought for £5million. If stoke want rid then great but I don't think he's worth fighting over.
