From QPR Good luck to him if he goes there. Personally I believe he is making a mistake - if he does leave a season with cannon fodder in the EPL would be better for him - if he impresses he can then move onto another cannon fodder team...like Steven Fletcher etc England arent that blessed with good strikers either IMO. A season in the championship wont help him maybe squeeze into the squad Deal is likely to be between £4m to £4.5m i guess? IN addition to £12.5m for Wanyama and the CL money, plus the saving on wages of Hooper, Wanyama and the others who have left surely we can push the boat out and get 1 or 2 £2m-£3m players? A striker and a creative midfielder for me. Worrying also that rather than simply say Lawell told Notts Forest to do one, he said they'll have to make a significantly better offer. I appreciate everyone has a price, but our best performing centre half with 2 years left on his contract should be a no brainer to keep next season at least...not like we need the cash
If he wants to leave good luck to him. We'll be losing a good player, who's improved since he came to us. But he's scored a lot of goals for us, had 3 good seasons, and we're doubling his original transfer fee. Can't see how we can ask for much more. But we now NEED to buy in quality to replace. Given how much money's come into the club recently, anything less will be very disappointing.
f#ck um! i really like these players oot the door as quick as possible. he is as stupid as a bag of rocks.
If we make the CL group stages he'll regret it - imagine turning on the telly to watch your former Celtic team mates play Real Madrid while you're being paid a couple of quid extra to play Yeovil.
One things for sure, this munter isnae gonna dae it (he'll get us goals, though) please log in to view this image
Meh Don't need him for the league Cash helps cover Champions League loss if knocked out UEFA Cup Run striker to be bought minimum
Found his true level. Mid table team in the second tier of English football, saying that I bet he doesn't score as many in The Championship as he did playing in the Silly Pointless League or whatever it's called these days. He was a decidedly average player plying his trade in one of the ****test leagues in Europe. I wonder if S****horpe have any other strikers you can buy? Chris Dagnell is proper **** but would score a shed load for you I reckon, who wouldn't?
I must confess, that is an interesting take on things. Assuming he goes, Of course playing with better players at Celtic he is unlikely to get as many chances as he did with us, so perhaps he may not score as many goals. Although, his best league tallies have been 24 with both Celtic and Scunthorpe who play in the championship. He is a much better player now than he was then, so I'm not really sure what you are basing your assumption on. I'm going to have to respectfully disagree but thank you for your excellent contribution.
