The problem with taking 6 seconds to do anything is that it slows the game down too much. This might be ok in Europe but not the EPL with it's higher pace. Also let's not forget that Berbatov may have scored 22 goals but 5 game at home to Blackburn and he got hat tricks at home to Liverpool and Birmingham.

Berbatov is not 31!!! He is 30 and before you start blabbering about other things WAKE up. We need huge changes in midfield and attack and I agree our team should not be based around Berbatov, he would be nice to have in the squad and he seems happy playing at Utd. However, I would like us to sign a pacy skillful striker with a great overall game like Benzema, Higuain, Neymar, Aguero, Pato etc because Hernandez is a great finisher and has very good movement but his game is too limited and won't improve much as he has not got that natural ability. He again is a good player to have in the squad but our future should not be based on him in my opinion as Man Utd are meant to have great footballers not just limited footballers . Just look at Barca for example and yes that is the team Ferguson looks up to, he even stated he would of left Utd if he was given the chance to manage them. Look at their forwards, they all have a great overall game and interchange well, Hernandez for me is too static and limited but again he would make a great super sub.

Bloodred, we would have lost those games regardless but there is no doubt in my mind Berbatov and Nani would have done much better than Hernandez and Valencia in the final, simply because they did nothing. Valencia hacked away and was poor and Hernandez was hiding somewhere, did he touch the ball?
I like how some people seem to regard the fact that they didn't beat Barca a shocking result, and that they need a radical overhaul with a complete change in tactics/players... You won the PL, you didn't beat the current best team in the world. Calm down, try again.

I won't argue with any of that and tbh I did feel before kick off that Hernandez would struggle because he does have limitations as a player overall unfortunately. Berbatov would almost certainly have had more involvement and contributed more. I actually think 4-5-1 might have been the better way to go though as our midfield was always going to struggle to compete with Barca's. I don't particularly like it when we have to play that formation as it isolates the forward, but some times needs must. Regardless, I feel that we wouldn't have been strong enough on the day. Barca were fantastic and that's the level United now must aspire to. Not sure how you can emulate them though without actually signing their players, which isn't going to happen.
Against Barca you simply can't attack them!!! You have to defend with 10 men and hope you score a lucky goal.

However i think if the tactics were right we could have won.Put it this way imo had Jose managed us on that day then we would have had a better chance of winning.
