Why would these people lie? Would prefer to play Celtic again than swindon or Portsmouth , yes loads of drunk lads but the vast majority were all good natured, was in there company most of the day and yes there were irish songs but defo nothing sung about lee rigby. I did hear a brief chorus from a small section of their fans of 'Argentina'. A small number of those on the pitch - 4 or 5 perhaps from what I saw - did goad some of the Brentford supporters and as usual the stewards & police seemed to take a tougher line with the home supporters than the away ones. Most of the Celtic fans I spoke to were pretty good natured, interested in Brentford & oddly insecure about how we felt about playing them. I think a lot of them were disappointed I didn't see it as that big a deal. The pitch invasion was stupid & obviously going to happen after the small number of individual pitch incursions that happened throughout the game and even harder to stop if you've given two thirds of the ground to the away support. I'd love to know if, after all the costs involved, we broke even on this after all the hoo-ha. Mr. Devlin certainly wasn't having a good day if his post-match demeanour was anything to go by. I do think after this & Portsmouth we might need to review our stewarding arrangements. Overall I enjoyed the day.
