I saw the England footbal team play against France last night. They had no idea how to play against the french womwn. The french played well and were looking pretty as well. Do the womens teams have HABs, husbands and boyfiends, who arrive and cause a commotion in the local area?
Thanks for the caramel latte Ak and for the mountain music you posted yesterday! BB you are a wicked man!
Oi you dirty old man! Who have you been talking too? Its Tang-Soo-Do which is a Korean martial art, a bit like Karate. Ouch, thats gunna be a pinch warm. Good luck with it!
There's some amount of bumping gums going on on the leicester board - oh how quickly these people forget
Morning all, weather back to normal, blue skies and heat. The Meteo have been giving out warnings that temperatures could rise to 38°C in the coming days. In February this year I was reading about preparations being made should we get high temperatures this summer. In 2003 I think, 15,000 elderly people died when lack of simple measures to keep them cool failed. A fan costing about €10-15 can be the difference between life and death for a frail person. As these conditions are expected here, planning makes sure that such failures will not happen again. Will the the hot weather in the UK have been prepared for? I hope so, as a few £'s spent could be a godsend to some people.
rep thats a problem we are more prepared for cold than heat and not even that well prepared for that.
Afternoon all from a very much cooler bandit country - just waiting for the battle bus to arrive to pop over to Stevenage to see the PSF. Should be a good afternoon out if we can find somewhere to have a few beers!
All the kerfuffle about our new players is providing me with an opportunity to practice being more sanguine. There is no point in getting upset or irate about what other people are saying about us. There is nothing I can do. I won't convince them that they are wrong or change what is happening at the Vic. I take deep breaths and smile. The real worry is that some of these people not only have the vote, but use it.
I wouldn't worry too much about that NZ - their votes won't count as they probably struggle to spell X correctly.
