The official Off-Topic Chat Thread now known as "Beefy's Corner".
Firstly, the normal rules of the site apply. You cannot start a discussion about contentious issues, Politics, Religion, or show Porn, etc... The flip side of this arrangement is that there will be a much stricter enforcement of the "no going off topic" rule which has always been the case anyway, on the other threads.

Secondly, the normal rules of the Saints board will apply, (except that you can go off-topic obviously). This is not going to become a "private GC Lite." Personal insults will not be tolerated, and neither will goading someone to draw them out. The whole tone of this board has suffered in the past as differing views have been aired and there have been far too many angry exchanges. Vitriolic exchanges are not welcome and will be dealt with as appropriate. If you have fallen out with a poster put him on your ignore list and don't rise to the bait!
If you see content which is not appropriate, please send the mods a PM rather than fronting up the poster and let us deal with it to save a bun-fight. Lastly, if a thread is closed or deleted by one of the Mods, and you have some good reason that it should reopen, then send us a PM with your reasons. Simply re-posting the same thread again to be confrontational would be considered very provocative and would probably lead to action being taken.

It would seem that large numbers of posts and subjects causes problems for mobile phone users to access this site. So from time to time it will be necessary to close the threads down and start a new one.

Is this one number 18 or 19...?

New Beefy's already! Otherwise known as The Ashes pt. 2.

Is that the first podium for Puck?

The only time I ever got on the podium was when I complained a lot about my ex breaking up with me. I was just one post away from 1st place but Joe pipped me to it. That was a proud moment. Since then it's just got more and more competitive. The only way I'll ever have a chance at Gold is if I get sacked, get a girlfriend and then get broken up with again. So fingers crossed.

Not that I give a toss about Golf [I used to like playing though], but McIllroy's downturn coincided with a forced change to Nike clubs [I believe] because he'd just signed a huge contract with them. Money talks very loud indeed. So loud in fact, that it's ruining his career.

Yes I remember hearing something about that. Is the change that significant in golf though? I know in cricket a lot of players get their bats custom-made and just put their sponsor's stickers on them. You'd think something similar could be done in golf.
