Optimistic? I said before it started that we would win with ease and I've not deterred from that stance
love it..... either england will frustrate them and set 350 or auusie will kick on... you just can't tell
Nice start. Good to see Bresnan proving his worth with the bat, definitely worth picking him ahead of Finn.
The pro's use what they are paid to use. Otherwise golf clubs are like anything else in this world. I think it's widely accepted that Mercedes Benz manufacture better cars than Vauxhall but it doesn't mean everyone drives a Merc. Titleist are recoginsed as the pre eminent gold club manufacturers. It doesn't mean the likes of Taylor Made etc. are **** though of course. This can reconvene on the tedius golf thread when you're back, we're boring the other chaps.
That's irrelevant, the question is would Compton have outscored Root. Root was put in to open because the present incumbent could not score runs against a very average New Zealand. It was the correct decision.
the guy should have known he nicked it and walked. batting sides need real sensible use of the system where someone like watson or clarke know they have a review and frankly the rest are told... don't bloody waste it. Can't believe they sued them all up again.
So? He also got zero yesterday. Not exactly a man in form so not really time to think Root should be dropped before he's even been given half a chance. Compton, who is not international class and has major flaws to his technique, was playing **** for the England side so had to be dropped, now it's Root's (who is and doesn't, bar lack of experience) turn and if he does **** second innings and next test he will I suppose also be dropped. Ujntil then three innings doesn't constitute proof he's not up to it. I'd love to hear who you think should open instead?
Ahh, play an No.3 at opener and an opener at three, I got you. Or how about just giving the new opener a chance?
