Seems like Telescope has trained on judging by an impressive 15 length win over clearly inferior animals.

I see he is entered in the Great Voltiguer over 12f - which is often used a stepping stone to the St Leger over 14f, but also the Judmonte International and Irish Champion Stakes over 10f. Maybe they think 12f is going to be his limit?

Edit: Not trained on as from 2 to 3, but carried his form over his injury. Stoute was rather non-commital about Telescopes performance, and didn't give many clues as to where he goes next.

5.25 Killarney

Queen Alphabet 6/1

Peter Fahey has already won 2 bumpers at the Killarney Festival (including a 1-2 last night) and his 4 year old filly has a really striking pedigree for a contest of this nature. This daughter of King's Theatre is a full sister to Willie Mullins' talented Royal Alphabet who was a winner of 8 races including 2 Bumpers (including on debut), 2 flat races and a Grade 2 over hurdles and was also placed in the Champion Flat race at Punchestown. Additionally, she is a half sister to Richard Hannon's 7 time winning gelding Red Spell (including on debut) who reached a peak rating on the flat of 104 as well as Noel Meade's winning bumper debutant Azalea. For a bumper horse, Queen Alphabet looks extremely well bred and a horse who should be extremely forward for her debut. Fahey also saddles another debutant in the shape of flat bred A La Perchoine but Queen Alphabet looks a far more likely type on paper and the jockey bookings would seem to suggest that. Looking at the opposition with experience, Tirauli and Egyptian Warrior both set a decent standard and should prove formidable opponents in addition to Henry De Bromhead's Rules debutant Sizing Scorpion but Queen Alphabet has the breeding to prove a very useful horse and Peter Fahey clearly has his string in top order at present. If fully wound up on debut which her forward looking pedigree suggests, I expect Queen Alphabet to put in a very big performance on debut and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this 4 year old filly has a big future ahead of her.

Strongly agree on discay was going to put this up smokey I liked the look of taleteller last time out in the 650 but not betting in that race may have a dabble in the last on prospera though

Good shout Balick. Had my gold to carry as well :).

He looks like a slightly bigger version of my avatar :)

just back in the door from leopardstown. first time I've ever been there and what a fantastic course I think it is! Will definitely be back next thursday night and at only €15 for ticket and concert if you want it it's great value! only had one winner at the meeting but had 4 or 5 at the others so overall a good night but would have been better if legal lyric had have come through for me in the last!

Anyone got anything for tomorrow yet??

Got a tip for the 8.19 at Sunderland, trap 6,bubbly rock!

Good luck!

Just popped back to thank Balicks very much too! Had a really nice bet and am dead chuffed. In very early days of North Sea offshore work remember Sunderland dogs so well, and Trap6 was a special favourite of mine. Could not miss this one. Back to bed, what a great surprise!

Best wishes to all! - SwanHills.
