I really do hope that AFC don't get Goofy, because I think he could do a job for them. At 'Pool he's wasted and therefore harmless, but at a good club he could make a real difference.

Suarez is undoubtedly one of the world's top strikers. As such, he is worth every penny of £35mil, or whatever it is. However, he is fatally flawed, personality wise. Leopards very rarely change their spots, and I doubt that Suarez will change his. Opposing players are only too aware of his temperament, and will provoke him at every opportunity - inevitably, he will react.
Unless you are optimistic enough to believe that you can control him, you have to ask yourself if it is worth all the baggage that comes with his goal scoring ability - all the negative press that he will bring to your club, the lengthy bans, etc. in my opinion, the answer has to be No!

Suarez is a ****, but to be brutally honest we could probably do with some of that at Arsenal.
Ultimately though, he's a winner and a goal machine and I'd take him in a heartbeat - In fact I've been calling for us to make a bid for him for over a year now.
The biting incident was shameful, the Evra comments I think were taken out of context, he's a diver - but so is Bale and a few others. In the end, what he does on the pitch makes him far less of a **** than some of the antics that other players get up to off it like JT, Ashley Cole etc

He is what's called a serial offender. He will inevitably be in serious trouble again before not too long. The biting incident was disgusting, but remember, even that's not the first time he's done that.
Personally, I genuinely believe that buying him is buying certain trouble. He is what he is, he won't change. He will be provoked at every opportunity, and god know what kind of ban he'll get next time.
Eh??? He averaged scoring 1 in 3 in the Premier League up until last season. Massive gamble for you guys to spend anything over £15mill on him until he's shown he can do it for 2/3 seasons in a row surely?

With the benefit of the doubt stripped away from him after the biting incident, these would all be red cards. There's probably more to, all I did was google "Suarez stamp gif" and add in the Parker one. I doubt you'd be so keen on him if he was picking up bans 3/4 times a season. As a Spurs fan, if Arsenal smash their transfer record on anyone, I'd be less upset if it was on Suarez than Rooney or players like him. He even makes Rooney look well behaved on the ptich!

Not really, given your recent track record with strikers either sees them fail to score goals or head to Manchester at the earliest opportunity.

I don't want you to sign him but if you're going to spend big bucks on a player, or players, I think there are much better choiced available. He's a very good player but I can't see his temperament drastically changing any time soon. I'm not even sure he's learnt anything from his latest ban, judging by his comments he seems to hold a grudge and blames other people more for his treatment. Besides all that wouldn't you be better off spending big on a quality winger, or centre back, or defensive midfielder, or fullback, or 'keeper?I still can't see the deal happening though, it just doesn't seem to make sense for Arsenal or Suarez.
