I have growing concerns that the current squad wouldn't even be able to score goals in the championship, so here is a quick poll to see if with the CURRENT squad we would A) Be promoted B) Survive C) Relegated again?

Currently relegation im afraid. Its that bad.

A few quality signings, players who give a damn and we could transform our chances.

But continue with Park, SWP, Hoilett, Mbia then we may as well pack up now.

After these two pitiful matches against two pitiful opponents im starting to believe, that we ain't gonna make a TEAM of our current players. We have to keep Remy and sign Hooper to have any chances to even stay up in the championship.

At present I think we'll do well to finish in the top half, however, it's a very long season in the Championship. If we do get the three or four key signings and actually start playing the type of football Redknapp's teams are more well known for then anything is possible as I don't see any absolutely outstanding team in the division...

With that criteria in mind you'd better leave it until the August transfer windows is shut. Incredibly we will already have played 5 league matches by then.

But, in the spirit of the OP...with this group we'll be bottom half . We must keep Remy at least until Xmas and I think players like Park may surprise a few...I hope !

The op does specify our ‘current’ and with just 20 days to go I think its an interesting indicator of the current feeling.

I went for neither promotion or relegation as with the current squad I reckon firmly mid table.

A lot has been made of our inability to score goals (expecially with no Adel) but our current back 5 along with support in font like Faurlin making tackles I reckon we will be defensively sound and shouldn’t concede many. Also will have good cover for all positions at the back.
