200 is risky imo. They have a lot of aggressive batsman who if they get in can wittle that down very quickly. A couple of quickfire 50's and the rest only have to make up 100.

We got to try and bat to lunch tomorrow to make it safe and then hqve 5 sessions at them.

250 would give us a fair chance but is still very gettable. I can't see us getting much past that tbh which is why I think that decision yesterday will be costly.

It's difficult to judge how big a lead we need here. Sometimes batting looks easy, but a lot of wickets have fallen very quickly at times.

If you take out THAT Innings and don't forget THAT partnership , I think 230 - 250 will be hard to get .

Mute point IMHO as I cannot see us getting a lead of more than 150 - 180 odd................

Bairstow has gone. The lead is 110ish and the new ball isn't far off. Bell needs to deliver here. Prior could take this away from Australia - quickfire 50 or 60 could be a game changer but there's some serious pressure on these two.

The key is definately this partnership, if they can take us to a 200 or more lead then I would really fancy our chances to make a match winning total.
Prior will score quickly so the 200 lead should come well before stumps if they can stay together....*fingers crossed*

Agreed. These two need to see off the new ball and ideally bat well past tea.

I also seem to have accidentally disliked your post. Typing on a phone, sorry.

Don't know why people watch horror films...Saints supply all the tension I need.
I like horror films but one's with a actual story. I hate horror films like Chucky, Friday the 13th, Paranormal Activitly etc, mainly due to horror's not actually scaring me.

Well the lead is 150 already. England aren't totally out of it but we need some runs from Broad and Swann.

I don't know if we need a 250 lead. Batting last on this will be a tough ask I think.

From Vaughn on TMS

"People will look at England only 165 ahead and think that will be easy for Australia to get but this pitch is difficult to bat on, it really is. There is lots of spin, lots of reverse swing."

I think 230 - 250 is difficult , but we have to get there first ...........
