Like most Toon fans I would have liked to see more activity in market but it's early days so not going to panic.

I don't expect to see much activity. A bit of in and out just to balance the squad. Maybe a few development types. Looking around thinking "ah they've signed 2, they've signed, we're doomed" is just daft. We don't need much.

A lot of Toon fans are panicking on Twitter and I just don't get it.
I want two to three signinigs at some point but we are only 25% of the way through the window.
I realise it would be ideal to get them in earlier but sometimes you have to play a waiting game. Would you want 4-5 average players in now.... or 2-3 quality ones in later?... no brainer for me.
The Mackems seem to have got their transfer scatter gun out and made some big changes. I expect them to get another 3-5 in so will have 10-12 players to bed in... players who if I'm honest I've never heard of. That's not to say they are not quality but it's a big gamble... it will either pay rich dividends for them or blow up.
If we got to Sept 1st and had not strengthened then I would of course be livid.
I'm more bothered about Pardew getting his tactics right to be honest.

    Very good point.
Our French lads will have had 8 months to bed in by the time August comes along.

We have a good starting eleven sure (Tiote and Jonas I would rather not have in the team though) but all it takes is an injury and the bench is either too young and raw (Campbell, Bigi, etc) or just not worth bringing on (Shola, Obertan). We need a striker and backup striker, cover for CB and I would like a decent winger, pacey, someone to beat his man and put in decent crosses - the opposite of Jonas really.

think he's classed as more of a development squad player tbh.

But surely should still count as a signing?

I think the one transfer against Arsenal is Yaya Sanogo and the same could be said about him.

The table includes our development players. If you've signed this lad you should be credited with a transfer.

Do the Jose '2 per position' exercise and see. Had to put Santon in as backup RB and 1st choice LB as Raylor is injured, and Good could be Streete or Willo.

    Krul/Elliott

    Debuchy/Santon
    Colo/MYM
    Saylor/Good
    Santon/Haidara

    Sissoko/Anita
    Cabaye/Jonas
    Tiote/Bigirimana

    Ben Arfa/Vuckic
    Cisse/Campbell
    Gouffran/Marv

Weakness is clearly up front and pretty much only up front. We need to stop 7 players being injured at the same time.

Would you say Good, Bigi, Campbell and even Vuckic after his injury would be ready to be thrown in at the deep end though? I'm not sure at all mate. We need some decent attacking options for sure. We also need pace in the midfield. I hope to Christ Pardew doesn't persist on playing Jonas/Tiote next year because it will more of the same **** like last season.

To be fair, our squad does the current overhaul that is taking place.
