He threw a strop on Monday when I was mod on GC and announced he was off. Post now edited, but you know mods and mick can see edited posts - he clearly didn't know that <laugh>

I don't think anyone really cares, it was just funny that he said he never.

    Anyway, up the 'RA.

Let's get this thread back on track people.

Just a wee update. After scouring numerous internet dating sites I eventually found her. I convinced her to meet me for a few drinks in Princes Square. I took her there to impress her. She didn't like it and we ended up drinking a carry out outside the former Bairds bar.

Things were going well until I asked if she were a fan of the films of Mickey Rourke. One flying clothesline followed by a corkscrew elbow drop and I was on the ground. I got up and she screamed at me that I was like all the others. A leg sweep floored me and she stomped off into the night muttering something in Irish Gaelic to her Randy the ram action figure.

I still think about her and what could have been:emoticon-0106-cryin

Hlidays ffs? We need Doctors like NOW. Holidays for Unis and Colleges should be banned, even though that would probably create more work for me. I've not thought this through.

<laugh> <laugh> Are you seriously suggesting we should rush doctors through uni? When I qualify I won't have any breaks <laugh>

It's a fact that every August death rates in hospitals increase. This is when newly qualified doctors start working. Coincidence?

I was watching a Documentary a few weeks ago about some guy, a Genius who has developed a check system for Operations, same as airline pilots use, it had decreased death rates by up to 50% in some hospitals. It was trialled in about 10 different hospitals and the reduction in deaths caused by human error were staggering.

To be honest, I think a lot of the higher death rate can be put down to not being used to working under the kind of pressure doctors have, especially 1st year graduates who have never worked a day in their life. Even when we do things in uni you can quickly pick out people who buckle under pressure (and avoid them like **** when getting put into groups).

I was working full time for 7 years before doing medicine and I think it has prepared me a lot more for it. In America you need to do a degree before you can study medicine and I think it would make our doctors a lot better if we done that. But then the NHS is seriously needing doctors as you say. Treading a fine line.
