From thier current squad, 9 have come through the acadamy, thats 25% of the squad is homegrown so I would say thats a core. I never mentioned 1st team although most of thier best players in the last 10 years were youth products- whilst you had john Terry
no thanks, Chelsea mate of mine always rated him but I always thought he was too lightweight. Jack Cork has always done well for my boys and must have been sweet for him taking 4 points from you last season

If they dont play in your starting XI how on earth could you regard them as core players? lol
Terry is unlikely to be first choice starter for you next season, yet you would still include him as important to the club. Its not just match day, but the training days where players that have known the club for 20 years become important. Terry bleeds blue and Im sure any new player not giving 100% would recieve a bollocking. Giggs is the same at Utd and possibly Evans as well. A team is made from the squad, not 11 individuels, which is probably why Chelsea keep on chasing Utd but to no avail.
