Apparently a myth as scientists have not observed this when watching the bears for decades. Also polar bears show no preference for right or left paws. Neither is their hair hollow to transmit sun to their skin. Boring, but true.

I wouldn't draw any conclusions from that. He's not likely to get injured in a pre-season friendly and they probably think it's better for his fitness if he plays than if he doesn't. From their perspective they have to forget the transfer news and just try to get him fit for the start of the season (whether that turns out to be in Glasgow or not).
