Good to see the Bill Nick's opened early this morning for the Lions game. It's quite possibly because of my bias but I really can't see anything other than a Lions win. Could be a very good weekend if the Lions win today, then Murray wins tomorrow and we finally get our kit launch and Paulinho on Monday. The club might be a bit annoyed if the former two happened as it could bury our news a bit.
Got to stay positive. If they go conservative, like last week, they'll lose!...go at them, and The Lions will win..
The Lions are now busy shooting themselves in both feet...edit that, they're blowing them clean off!... -
On another matter, sad, very sad!... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2880...-over-suspected-drunken-assault?ICID=HP_BN_10
Gave us a bit of a scare at the start of the second but delivered an almighty hiding in the end. Well done lads
Yeah, they finally did what they should have done in Brisbane and Melbourne - attack!..go at them. In this game they kept up the open attacking game, despite the big wobble either side of half time.
Good to see the old boy and looking so well. Was a huge fan in my youth and was very sad to see him leave. http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/keith-at-training-centre-050713/
Where's DL to comment on the two class acts reaching the Wimbledon final, as we all knew they would? To be fair, you can't blame a Chelsea fan for failing to recognise a fake from the genuine article. Murray is a top, top class player, who, if he hadn't played in the same era as three of the greatest players ever, would easily have 7-10 Grand Slam titles. already.
Not really the final many tennis purists would have wanted due to their similar styles. There will be a lot of pushing, so long, hard fought points. It'll come down to whoever holds their nerve on the big points. You could also argue if Federer had played in a stronger era from 2003-2007 he'd have won far less. Murray is a top class player, but I hope for the good of the competition that Djokovic wins. Murray's run in has been pretty laughable to be honest. Djokovic playing a very in form Del Potro in the SF might give him the edge. It'll be very interesting to see what Murray does, will he be aggressive or go back to being submissive and counterpunching (08-10)?
DL, how is it Murray's fault that the good players he was supposed to face in the quarter finals and semis got knocked out in upsets. Come on Murray do it for Britain.
You need to be more consistent. One moment Murray is a moonballer who would damage the game if he won, the next he's very similar to Djokovic, who you think is a a credit to the game. Those views surely are inconsistent? If they are similar, why is it better for the competition that Djokovic wins? C'mon Andy, will make my weekend if he does it.
Hooray for Murray. Ya boo to District Line. "This is the death of Wimbledon as a tournament" please log in to view this image
Murray was immense. He outdid Djokovic at his own game - incredible returns, impossible shots, relentless accuracy, fewer unforced errors, exceptional fitness and stamina, exceptional mental strength. He's reached the final of the last five Grand Slams he's played in, winning two. He's unbeaten on grass in three tournaments since last year's Wimbledon final. And he's even better on New York's hard courts. He could be number 1 by the end of the year. How can anyone say he's just a "pusher" and bad for the game?
I'm not a massive tennis fan. What I know about the game could be put on the back of a postage stamp. But, I know a fighter when I see one - well done son!..
I have one question and one question only DL...just wtf do you want from a game of tennis? You criticise just about everything, you hate serve bots, you hate pushers, you hate baseline rallies...I don't know for the life of me why you watch it...some of the more bizarre comments from you suggest you don't. Just what do you call a good game? In fact don't bother, you're just a wum.
