http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-celtic-striker-gary-hooper-2023851? He would be a good signing as i keep saying.
He is far too young but hey so was Simpson too. A change of a tactic? If they are serious about Hooper im starting to believe about promotion.
He we go again every transfer window we are linked with him & yet nothing comes of it, should have got him when he was at scunthorpe but think paladine messed that up.
I hope somebody buys this bloke soon, or he says he is happy with whatever the SPL is called now and Champions League. Every window is speculation. Whatever, doubtful that he will be a bargain for anyone, but if he knocks in 15 it'll be worth it. His scoring record is definitely top notch.
Daily mail lifts the price up as they usually do.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ers-bid-4million-Celtic-star-Gary-Hooper.html
Why would he step down to the Championship? I'm pretty sure a few Premiership teams would still be interested....
He's a proven 20+ goal a season striker at this level, whatever the reason he'd be just what we need upfront. More in the news today... http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/4999903/QPRs-Hoops-swoop.html
Our midfield 8 should be able to do that! (It could be 9, we might have signed yet another midfielder whilst I was having breakfast.)
I agree provided the package that would attract him to LR is heavily reliant on goals scored and promotion.
Yes i can see him swapping the champions league for the championship, Celtic turned down £7m last year, and Hull have bid £5m already, Champions League,Premier League or Championship if you were him what would you do?
He kept his house in Scunthorpe so obviously isn't too strongly against living in the area. I highly doubt Hooper is looking to move to the Championship, unless he has no ambition at all, in which case, he might as well stay at Celtic.
Maybe he sees the new training ground, new 40k stadium and thinks we can make it to Europe, hed have more ambition joining us than Hull or Norwich.
Or he'll see a club that just spent an outrageous amount of money and still got nowhere near staying up, ravaged by high-earning prima-donnas who they can't flog because they gave such ridiculous contracts to and a team who's best player is a rapist. You really are deluded. Good luck next season, try not to do a Wolves.
Cant flog? you mean like the £12m we just got for Samba? Cisse has gone, that just leaves Barton and Bosingwa. Not bad for less than a week into the transfer window. Remy could be a huge blessing in disguise if he doesnt get charged, that will mean we will keep him and he should rip up the NPC. Try not to get relegated.
