the hooper deal is a classic case of cat and mouse. neither club willing to back down on their demands and so we have stalemate. i don't know if this ditty is right but it certainly wouldn't be the first time this tactic has been used. let me explain: norwich are unwilling to meet celtic's asking price. they may also be unwilling to match hooper's wage demands. hooper wants to come here and would like a compromise. celtic want their valuation matched or nothing happens. talks take place but no compromise can be reached. norwich call off discussions and get linked with two or three striker targets in the media (which may or may not be hinted at by the club), norwich make a new, slightly better offer for hooper, celtic buckle knowing they may not get their valuation at all should norwich pull out, especially given they know hooper wants to go there. like i say, might not be true but everything i've heard points to this being the case. i still think the hooper deal will happen
From the understated tone of the Pinkun tweet announcing it, I'd guess at Carlo Nash. Surely they'd make more if it was an exciting young outfield player?
Michael Bailey has just said on twitter he would be surprised if it was not Redmond, not that he is actually knows!

i guess carlo nash would be slightly dissapointing, but we do need a third choice 'keeper looking on the brightside

It's all shaping up nicely. The Ruddy situation bothers me though because he is so important not just as a keeper but the presence he has in the side. Plus if he goes to Chelski he will hardly play any Prem games and that would be bad psychologically for a great English goalkeeper.
