I remember his name creeping up last week in this article. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...lubs-chasing-Ecuador-winger-Jefferson-Montero Well tomorrow night I'm going to watch his team, Monarcas Morelia play against the Portland Timbers from the MLS in a friendly. I'm not sure if he will play but I will keep an eye out and give you my scouting report so you can forward it on to SB.
The game ended 1-0 to Portland but was not a typical friendly. Morelia had a man sent off for abusing the referee just before half time and Portland scored from a dubious penalty decision. Also a fight broke out in the stands which resulted in a few Moreilia fans been escorted out of the stadium (a normal occurrence at the KC but not at a game in the US) Jefferson Montero looked very sharp and was a constant threat down the left flank. He would give most premier league right backs a lot to think about. He was very tricky but maybe a little light weight. He was involved in all the good attacking moves Morelia had. He didn't offer a lot defensively so he may be viewed as a luxory. For the £3.5 quoted it seems a tad steep but I'm only judging the guy on one "friendly" performance.
