From experience: if you get a reply from someone covered in tattoos who looks like the posterboy for a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome awareness campaign, keep looking.

I'd actually prefer notes on the fridge. There was a girl we lived with who would aggressively knock on everyone's door to confront them if someone left an unwashed plate by the sink.

It wasn't the notes themselves it was the messages on them. She once put 10 notes on the fridge all stuck next to each other so she could write a large message, instead of just getting a piece of paper or even better not doing one in the first place.

I'd want a roommate who is a geek and we can geek out together, D&D, trading cards, pokemon, anime, video games, cosplay..... If female as well (and single!) that'd be even better!

Bad idea! I've lived with a girl I ended up sleeping with, fell out with and still had to share a house with for another 10 months before. Awkward.

I'd probably piss myself laughing if I saw that, she can't have expected to be taken seriously.

Sweet Jesus, that is the worst thing ever. We had a German girl moved into our house of 5 seriously blokey blokes by a misguided letting agent. She loved a note on the fridge until she evicted herself after 4 weeks.

A girl I lived with once complained about a messy living room (it was the morning after the rest of us had had a bit of a piss-up, and it wasn't that bad really) by taking a picture of it and posting it to Facebook.

She would also complain about overhearing sex noises, which I agree is a fair complaint, but would do it in the bitchiest ways possible and I've never experienced anything more awkward in my life.

In my experience women love it when you piss yourself laughing at them when they are angry...oh wait...I may have got that wrong...

In my experience it helps them realise how pathetic their argument is and they soon drop it - but then I've only been with one girl for any extended period of time and she was particularly mild-mannered, I'd think most girls would act more aggressively :(

**** i'm bored, the gf is watching her back log of hospital crap.

It's amazing the things that can become problematic in a house share. I share with a couple right now and she loves cooking proper meals for them. Sounds fine until you realise that basically makes it impossible for anyone else to use the kitchen between the hours of 6pm and 8:30pm.

Whereabouts are you looking to live anyway?

Anywhere within a relatively easy commute for King's Cross, maybe within about 40 minutes. Luckily King's Cross is very well connected. Seen one interesting place in Wood Green (near where I used to work back in 2010), so might enquire about that one tomorrow. It's on the Picadilly line so straight through to King's Cross.

Yeah, I've just finished the latest episode of Top Gear (mmm Rachel Riley) and now I'm out of ideas.

Summarise the internet's view of Egypt for me? Just watched Newsnight (trying to be more grown up), still not quite sure how to balance the mistakes that Morsi did with the fact that he was democratically elected and being military removed. Clearly most people are happy to support the military on this. I suppose I'll be ok with it as long as a) loads of people don't start getting killed and b) someone comes up with a better way of holding new elections so that this won't obviously happen again in another year.

He was involved with the muslim brotherhood, they are hated in Egypt for being too radical.

Yeah I couldn't live with my girlfriend, her taste in TV is appalling (just sat through TOWIE)... I also find horrible songs stuck in my head that I hate to admit I enjoy. Sometimes I can't believe how quickly some couples start living together, they must drive each other crazy.
