Exactly and he'll especially enjoy coming on late in the game and banging one in against Wet Sham next season. <ok>

Great News. He's not had a run in the team this year to show he can still cut it, but whenever he comes on not only is the crowd gee'd up, but he brings the whole team up.

After all Norwich's interest someone else will jump in and buy him ;)

Wonder what the 'sell-on fee' for Steveage will be as that has to be considered too?

<doh> I heard earlier it was only 10% and thought that's not too bad.

The report speaks of a 'hefty' sell-on fee and would think 25% would be that so have to add that on to whatever is accepted (if it happens of course).

So on a 25% sell on fee basis for argument sake if we accept £2.5m we will only clear £1.875m, £3m would clear us £2.25m, £3.5 would clear us £2.625m and £4m would clear us £3m

Can only see us getting £3m max for him to be honest. <ok>

Maybe they want £2.25M and so want the other £750k to cover the 'sell-on' option? Never know, all this interest could up the price and we acheive £3M ourselves... :)

Yes a big sell on fee of 25%, why did we agree to that?

Norwich bid I last heard that we turned down was £2.5M so hopefully if other clubs are interested we will get a bid over £3M soon <ok>

I reckon if they bid anything above 2.8 it will be a done deal. But got to say well done to berylson trying to get a bidding war

Yes exactly as for me JB has proved his worth not taking the first offer unlike past Chairman's. <doh>

He earned my respect when he never rolled over for the F.A on the Wet Sham charges like Pahitis would have done. <doh>

Taking the fight to those ****s and personally paying for our defence lawyer speaks volumes of this man's commitment to the club and if anyone was ever in any doubt they really shouldn't be because this man is a ****ing legend and is undoubtedly the best Chairman we've had in my lifetime and arguably our best one ever although that's an entirely different debate. <ok>

Must be the American attitude coming across ;) and it certainly has helped us. Sends out a big message to the FA et al that we will fight and pay but so will they pay on their legal defence should they try to be heavy handed and discriminate in their dealings with us :emoticon-0116-evilg
