Not a bad read.........Fran has given you a very good tip....read it aloud to yourself the mistakes will jump out at you. Try not to make sentences too long. Suggest you download a "grammar and spell check" app you may find this will help. Your style is good don't lose it. BT
And don't depend on a spell-checker, St George, to keep you out trouble entirely. Whilst it's relatively unimportant here, on a blog, I would have thought we'd all take a little more care. In the case above, Beddy has the spelling correct, but not at the right time, that is, the context is wrong. I would have thought Fran would have advised you to read the text aloud.
.......That will teach me to do things in a rush.............another tip don't be rushed other wise you will miss obvious mistakes similar to mine
Very good article. Ignore the negative criticism, only listen to those that appear to be offering constructive advice. I personally enjoyed it and it's made me wish that Saturday 17th August was upon us already! COYS!
Cheers for all your inputs. It may be a good idea to have a sticky thread for others to link their work to perhaps? I found everyone's feedback really helpful and a place to put them for those who like reading this kind of thing could be popular perhaps?
