I people may have done yeah, but QPR couldn't have sustained his wages along with others like Remy even if they remained as a prem team. I know that's more to do with Fernandes than Redknapp though. In any case, we all know far to well what happens when you take risks outside of your means!

Yeah long term it wouldn't've worked out anyway. Hughes' summer signings didn't help though Redknapp though, some of the squad was diabolical! How does Bosingwa actually get paid to play football...

having heard a few things about BMD and his style of management and ethics, and then reading what Ross has just said gives me a bit of a lift. The way I see it, is that even if we bring nobody else in, BMD will do a fantastic job this season and much better than Moanock. It sounds like the players love him and they can see what he's doing at TA and trying to build. The players want to fight for him.

Refreshing change so although I'm pissied off that we can't afford Messi, I'm optimistic for the 1st time this summer.

Morning!! Great news with the Murphy signing, positive step. Now, apparently Leeds have REJECTED an approach from QPR for McCormack thought to be in the region of £3.2m!! Well, they released Cisse so need a striker, and he was on £72k p/w which means they have dosh to throw about. Let's see how determined they are. At least it's not Harvey calling the shots, with him QPR would have offered £3m and he would have said they could have the player for £600k the muppet. Journeyman end of career? Brown!!

Going back a bit now, but two players played for Leeds at the tail end of their careers in the early 80's, the one and only Frank Worthington, what a great player and character he was, and Kenny Burns, hard as nails.

Unfortunately they couldn't stop us being relegated from the top flight in '82 though

Morning guys. Is that the sun shining...are the clouds clearing. The birds are singing and hope is around the corner.
The odd swallow does not mean the summer has arrived..or something like that <whistle> Still things are stirring and who knows what's in the cookie jar..<doh>

Please forgive....<sorry>

Dave, do I get the distinct impression that whilst you are not as sick as a parrot, you're not quite over the moon either?

<sorry>

Oops, nearly forgot - Afternoon All!

Remember them with E,Gray in the side as well on a cold wet evening at E.R in the milk cup against uddersfield, we lost 1.0

Little Billy asks his Dad for a telly in his bedroom and his Dad reluctantly agrees. Next day, Billy comes downstairs and asks his Dad what 'love juice' is? His Dad looks horrified, but sits little Billy down and tells him all there is to know about sex, whilst Billy's mouth drops open in amazement.
"What is it you were watching anyway?" asks his Dad.

"Wimbledon," says his son.

<laugh> I've heard a similar version too that before tbf. <ok>

Evening all,

So the doom merchants might just have been wrong, as it stands we seem to be investing in the team, tickets are cheaper, and things look a lot brighter. Even Elmo will be walking among us at ER soon if this carries on. The only thing that has remained constant through the close season are the closet whites (Bermondsey branch) showing their lack of a life by continuing to post and babble even when there was nothing to post or babble about.

The season is nearly upon us and it's good to be back.
