There are few club owners who are quite as brutal as Mad Dog, that's for certain. On one level, I can understand why a substantial number of fans find his antics in the game to be utterly reprehensible, but I can also see how a few might consider that he ought to be admired.

How is Jose getting on at United. He'd never work for mad dog again in a million years

A great celebration on CTV tonight! Roman came across as a really passionate fan of the club! This association of his with our club has got bugger all to do with money! He loves Chelsea with a passion!

Rodney Marsh made a very good point on Talk5hite, tonight. He challenged Jacobs and Cundy to name one English player who had been brought through the ranks to play at the top level, at CFC. They couldn't name one, and Cundy was a player for your club!

The point that Marsh was making, of course, is that whilst the Russian has been good for the EPL, he has not been good for English football. Cundy said that there probably wasn't a single genuine CFC fan who did not have that criticism to make of the Russian.

Marsh leveled the same damning claim at AFC and Whinger.

That might have a lot to do with the fact most of England's up and coming players are a crock of ****e and couldn't hold a candle to the Golden Generation they're supposed to be replacing. The performances of the U-21's & U-20's prove England wont even be a top 20 nation in 3/4 years time.

Cliff, run, large, jump, one, a, arsehole and do.

Rearrange the words to get a message from the majority of Chelsea fans who think your a **** and want you to **** off. <ok>

Golden generation <laugh>

Good one DL<ok> They haven't even come close to success, not very golden if you ask me.

btw, Young English players are not good enough because they do not get chances because all the top clubs are buying expensive established stars and those same clubs will not allow for a player to come into the team and learn over a season, if he makes mistakes, which all young players do, they get dropped. Very few players come out of academies or reserves the 100% finished article. Many develop playing first team competitive football and considering the PLs penchant for foreign established talent those players just do not get the first team experience they need to push on.

No point in saying they're crocked because your club is one of those that buys in expensive but established talent rather than putting out young English players to learn their trade. And as soon as a club does, when that lad makes a mistake the media are all over it. I'd say the pressure on young players in England is far higher than Germany Italy and Spain.

On one had it's all "Look how the Germans do it" and then it's "Those young English players are crooked"

make up your minds, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that those English lads will not become top players if they are not playing in the top flight week in week out.

Also some very deluded opinions of Roman btw <ok> He's an evil control freak at best<laugh>

You listen to Rodney Marsh... on Talksport <laugh>.

Did they tell you jose was going to United?

I think Roman has been brilliant for Chelsea, good for the premier as
a product but not as a competitive league . (City are in the same boat)
Without his wallet Chelsea would be mid table if we were all being honest.
