What I meant was that they need to improve quickly and if they spend big amounts of money on long term future thinking then their best players will leave in the mid term stagnation and if those Croats turn out any good they'll jump ship too.
That's the ideal situation anywayMaybe they'll improve anyway, it's impossible to say for sure, but what I do know is that were they to be spending large amounts of their budget on thinking 4/5 years down the line then it becomes less likely they'll improve now.
I suppose it comes down to what constitutes spending large amounts. The way things are hopefully shaping up this summer, it may not be a large amount. Plus, I'm sure the initial cost would be amortised over the length of their contracts. It also fits in with Levy's strategy of buying young, and if they have to be sold, it would be at a good profit.
FFP may, of course, not see it that way. So, it looks like their could be a few sales this summer, too.
