Saints team being assessed at Solent Uni. Luke has just tweeted that the VO2 test has killed him...he wants to try it at Lambert's age.

Bizarre question in Laura's presser. "Why didn't you do a post-match celebration?" Erm, because she had nothing to celebrate?

    That is bizarre.

Unbelieveable amount of idiots slating her on twitter, it must be so depressing being a British sportsperson.

Have to say, Murray is playing like a machine at the moment. Him and Djokovic have been streets ahead of the rest. Will be a crime if one of them doesn't win it.

Close game, evenly matched but Kanepi just had a bit more power from the back of the court. In a few more years, she could be QF/SF material. Only 19 of course, and the british media are already calling her a Grand Slam champ.

He has just stepped it up so much over the last year as a player. You never get the feeling that he can lose at the moment. As for Djokovic, he was simply unplayable in the last round - think he only lost 4 points on his serve all match. Could potentially have a tough quarter final though against Berdych, whereas Murray SHOULD ease through.

Very true, and Federer won in like 70 minutes in round 1, then knocked out. Got to be at the top of your game, every game, this tournament.

Thanks for that. I'd completely forgotten that upsets happen in sport.

I don't watch much tennis these days, but Murray doesn't seem to be outstandingly brilliant. He misses opportunities to attack, preferring to keep the ball in play sometimes. I've seen him play better, I think, and none of the pundits are criticising him for not making the most of opportunities, so perhaps I'm being overly critical. I like Murray, but if He and Djokovic are head and shoulders above the rest then the standard must have dropped at some point, in my opinion.

Murray and Djokovic, along with Federer and Nadal, have dominated the sport for a a couple of years now. Murray was slightly behind the other three for a long time but seems to have stepped up in the last year, although right now I think Djokovic will beat him more often than the other way round.

I think David Ferrer (the perennial world number 5) has basically said in the past that his only hope of beating any of the top 4 is if they have an really poor day. Obviously time is catching up with Federer and Nadal's body seems to be letting him down so the top 4 are losing some of their invincibility but Murray and Djokovic are definitely the guys to beat and a level above the rest.

I see what you mean, in regards to him keeping points alive rather than attacking from the outset, but I suppose to some extent the same could be said about Nadal who never gives up points and is a great mover around the court. Federer is the best to watch I think, but perhaps is just not as quick as some of the guys around now. Murray broken...

Murray knows that he will usually win long rallies. He also can make shots look easier than they are as he is fit and fast. It's easy to see why he's 2nd in the world.
