A female performer with Cirque du Soleil has died after falling 50 ft in a performance in America. I suppose it's a wonder more haven't been injured as their performances are so daring and involves a lot of machinery. Apparently she slipped from her safety harness.

 

Indeed; there's no doubt that climate change is fueling it. But the Southwest is filled with conservatives who believe it to be a myth, no matter how frequently their states catch fire, and not too long ago tried to pray away a drought rather than contemplate what might be causing it.

 

There are several Ninety Mile Beaches in the World and I believe that either only one or none are of 90 miles in length. Of course 55 miles is very roughly 90 km [ok 88, but you get the idea], but to me, 90 Kilometre Beach doesn't quite have the zip to it that the real name has.

The West Coast beach on the South Island feels like it goes continuously from Haast to Greymouth and that would be well over 90 miles. More like double. Of course, you can't get to much of it without a good hike.

 

Well, seeing as Ramirez was sat on the subs bench in Brazil last night I think we might take that shot in the dark as accurate.

After all, they grounded the fastest civil airliner, that might have got him here, a few years back.
