Should wenger be held to ransom for the fee of 110k (what cesc is on). I think nasri is a great talented player some of his goal are sublime and i feel we cannot loose him, surely with denilson/bendtnar going that would free up some cash to keep him. Also looks like wenger tabled a bid for samba 8m , what a tight arse.
Sounds like John from 606. Where do you hear that he wants 110K? All I hear is that he wants to see the club being ambitious before he signs...
Here we go again Let him go for the sake of paying what our competitors pay And replace him with a talented but too young player Then complain that we have no experienced older leaders
Pay him the money he wants and show some ambition in the transfer market with at least 3 top signings. I personally think robert huth would be an excellent signing as would scott parker and a top class striker like benzema or cavani. At least we r getting rid of two jackasses in Denilson and bendtner, a few more still in there though for example squillaci, almunia, rosicky.
Do you think that Nasris' agent has already been promised a bumper pay-day from someone like Chelsea or City? A lot of tapping-up still goes on, and as much as all the managers say they hate players' agents, you can bet your life on it that they'll use them to make crafty approaches.
Wenger said they had had a "financial" disagreement that they were trying to sort out. John may be right after all!! I refuted him countless times for it because there was no evidence for it. Looks like he might have been at least partially right.
Let him go, he is not good enough. Not sure about his wage demands but if it is true then all the morre reason to get rid.
Doubtful Cesc. The agent wouldn't tell the club, they'd just tell the player that the option was there
Maybe, but these things usually come out in the end, look at Demba Ba. The potential trouble that could arise surely is too much for a small gain, as if he were to leave they'd quite likely to sign him anyway.
Arsene wouldn't sell to a rival - Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, or even Newcastle. No-one else could afford his wages. If he leaves he'll have to go abroad, to Spain, France or Italy. The only way he could get a move to a top English side would be to run his contract out. But it sounds like Wenger is putting an ultimatum on him of sign this summer or leave. I hope he's got a realistic deadline of August 1st to allow time to find a buyer. Arsenal should be playing hard-ball.
Cesc... But who's going to tell? It's in neither the agent's or the manager's interest to make the approach public. Neither is the player going to say anything, because if he does it will prevent his agent from filtering through other bits of information. The losers in all of this, of course, are the clubs, because their best players get unsettled before every transfer window. All I know is, that Modric, two months ago, was coming out with how he was perfectly happy playing for Spurs, and now it's being reported that he's saying he won't rule out a move away from the club to play CL football. Now, it could just be lazy hack journos churning out lies and garbage to sell column inches, but it could also be direct and actual quotes from the player. If so, why the change in attitude? I really would not put it past certain managers to use agents to "get word to" the players they are after, that a deal is there to be done.
who needs to talk to the agents!? just tip off the papers that your club is interested, that the manager has long been a fan and he's considering making a move. then there's no tapping up, no quotes required, but it unsettles the player all the same.
I was happily floating along in my little world of happiness, daisies and sunshine but you all shattered my naive illusions you big mean bullies And no, I'm not high, I'm at work
or do what barca do get the players to tell papers of the clubs interest. Cant tap up that way. Maybe thats why evra done it???
exactly stevee, players are a great move, anonymous "sources inside the club" and all that jazz too. there's loads of ways to get round the tapping up rules without directly talking to the player to destabilise them. unfortunately, unless a concrete offer comes in, it is all just heresay.
He can **** right off. Who the **** does he think he is? If he thinks playing well for half a season will earn him 110k a week, then he's pretty thick. Stupid ****. I hope he goes, he's broken my heart. Even if he stays, I'll never forgive him. ****.
