cant see him playing for us again good luck and goodbye. if K.J. has a replacement in mind he will hold out until theres enough dosh to get him
Moro holds most of the cards,,if you haven't sold near the end of transfer window.Expect a bargain price as your pub team can't afford to have 7,000 pound reserves.
Great article Steve which puts Moro in a darker light than before (if that was even possible!). As for struggling to sell him, the transfer window has opened today, we got 3 months to get rid. Ideally if we can sell him this month, get someone in to replace him all before pre-season starts then thats got to be the best outcome for everyone. Also see rumours of Chopper in talks with Southend?
Yeah and we know that principles are a lost thing in footy nowadays as much as Kenny is old school and wont take of any player no matter how good they are. The fact is he's our highest market worth player and putting him on the bench for 2 years running down his contract so we get nothing for him wont happen so he'll still go in the summer but I just hope another club comes in for him rather than us take the best pony offer from Norwich which even with their 2nd bid is still well below our valuation. I think back to Cahill when we undersold him to Everton although the positive thing now for us is that at least we now have a chairman, manager and CEO who have they're heads screwed on a damn sight better than then thank god.
Jimmy and I do feel bad in a sense though when I think that I've shouted, screamed and sung his name that many times and particularly the famous oh Stevie, Stevie song. I feel bad that I am feeling bad towards him if you see what I mean and I'm sure that I'm not the only one also even though we knew this day would come sometime and I assumed he'd stay with us for another season at least but its not to be. Still never mind and moving forward if Kenny pulls another rabbit from somewhere and starts banging them in for fun we will soon forget him wont we.
Let's not beat yourselves up here fellas, it's natural to have mixed feelings abot Moro. He's been brilliant and frustrating throughout the season so yeah, we'd all love him to stay but not if he wants to go. Let's hope we get the money we deserve for him so we can re-invest it it a couple or more decent up and coming players. As much as I am grateful for him over the 2 seasons with us, if he wants to go I'd say good luck and cash in on it.
Weird.... exactly what I think, we all knew he was leaving one day and should really be prepared yet I even thought after coming so close last season to play offs then he'd stick it out another season. When he was playing in a Wall shirt I sung his name and all that but now I find myself in a predicament, do I start to dislike him or wish him well after he's recent activity? Chopper to Southend wouldn't be as bad a loss now anyway, he can't do it at the Championship level. Seriously though I can't see Harris leaving again anyway.
slightly cynical but when Moro signed that improved contract in Jan I was thinking it was purely to increase his sale value rather than him committing to the club. As long as KJ has the time to get in a good replacement who can score goals I really don't care if Moro goes. His attitude last season was poor and though grateful for the goals he scored for us, which ultimately got us promoted, the club took a risk in giving him a 2nd shot at league football and he is coming across as a bit of a mercenary.
Fair comment MFC although surely getting him to sign another 2 year contract to increase his sale value would have come from the club so perhaps he did it for Kenny as he owed him big for giving him his 2nd chance. If Moro wanted out at anytime then he could have thought bollocks I'm not signing a new contract for anyone so perhaps that was his last good act towards the club so we could get a decent price although its a double edge sword with appearing to commit then asking for a transfer but we don't know if this was part of the plan all along behind the scenes.
