Also Kilburn, I'm impressed with your posting of photographs. I've tried it before but mine come out small. How do you make them bigger?
Hi Nines, When you find an image you wish to post, over image if you right mouse click and go to <Properties> and for example see a url address like this one......

you will note in the address s1600 (s = size = 1600)
so this image posts as:-

if you wish to post a smaller image, change to s500.......

however, if you require a larger image, say s2500, this approach doesn't seem to work in this case (TBH I've only ever gone smaller), so this really doesn't help answer your question. Image appears as same size as s1600, so depending on the page size you are posting to, there may be a max size limitation when going larger from original.........

Now in other cases if you mess with the url, you will not post anything, it depends.

Taking another look at your post, for attachments posted like that, they appear as thumbnail, but if you double-click, it displays larger, also restrictions on image size for attachments.
is that Hope Cove in South Devon Kilburn? If not it looks very similar, great place to go in spring or autumn when the crowds aren't there, good pub too.
Looking at it again, I don't think it can be, because you couldn't get a picture from that angle...
Hope Cove, you are absolutely correct - as a youngster I spent many very happy summer holidays there in the late 1950's, early 1960's, staying in a thatched cottage up on a hill, that I recall had a "secret" set of stairs to go to the upper level. I was amazed back in those days to have so many different flavours of ice cream to choose from, having been raised on just vanilla. Great swimming (watch out for the Portugese men of war jelly fish), rock pools to investigate on the beach, nice cliff walk (a bit dangerous back then).

If that is the question....I have an answer, yes I do. Loved it
we had one in Preston Road, where I was brought up (1 stop down on Metropolitan Line from Wembley Park) It had bars outside to tie up your dog, They did a promotion when I was 18, sort of like "green stamps" but blue and if you got enough you got a free plate, cup, saucer etc...we still use them today...(not the cups, they died a long time ago). They had bags saying McFishieries with a (1960s) picture of a fish on it....and they had Fresh Fish (smelling of nothing) I had never seen fish in a supermarket at the age of 4....but by the age of 16, my summer job was working in a fish shop.....aaaaahh memories.

You clearly know your fish Kiwi, correct. We have an independent fishmongers in my town, which I would love to support, but the smell just tells me that a large proportion of their stock isn't fresh.
Seafood all over the place here in Japan and never a waft, the vendors and restaurants know they would lose customer immediately.
