Alan Nixon seems pretty confident that we will land Wanyama. Says all three sides are pretty happy and what he heard today was positive as to a deal to take him from Celtic, to Southampton.
Nice.

See, I don't get excited/hopes up for any transfer till anything official/nearly official ... saves disapointment that way![]()
Jeez. Stop posting this stuff... Leave me one; go away!
****, really?
So we now have a choice between Cork, Schneiderlin and Wanyama for DCM. Just need Banega to challenge Ramirez and Davis for the ACM now.
Oh yeah. He says we've made them a good offer, all parties seem positive enough to do the deal.
Would be chuffed if we got him.
I did say we were after him at the start of this thread, are you saying you don't believe me? :I'm going to start to believe soon.
I'm excited by the prospect of Wanyama but part of me can't help thinking of guys like Barry Ferguson and Stilian Petrov who were never quite as good south of the border as they were in the SPL.

His European performances help me allay that fear.

Is anyone else concerned that cardiff are in for him? Can't see why he would rather go there but im primed for disappointment.
Wanyama was extremely impressive in CL, though. If he wasn't their best player in the win once Barca, he was damned close to it.

And the fact he isn't actually Scottish.

DTLW hearing either Bueno or Stoch signing the weekend, have you heard anything?
