The Club is a shambles. From what I've heard the consortium who were going to bail them out wanted to see up to date accounts but couldn't as they were on a memory stick with the accountant in spain!

Something very dodgy has gone on and people have been lining their pockets with cash.

I'd heard whisperings that they were struggling a while back, a re-distribution of wealth within the Football League structure is a very pressing issue for me.

I'm not surprised really. It's like the top, so many teams pay out on wages they haven't got, or against a short term sponsorship deal that is shorter than the player's contracts.

Yeah I knew they were struggling, but to go from there to just about to disappear is a big surprise to me. Doesn't seem like any sensible person could be persuaded to invest their money. That new ground seems so ludicrous now.

Linden Homes built the new ground for them so they could build on the old ground. They also paid for a lot of utility costs for the first year or so. This meant that the clubs overheads weren't that high so people really want to know what happened to the money.
