Don't you think it's about time time the computer super-swizzly whizzkids on here change the banner at the top of our site? I'm a bit fed up of those old away strips and Craig Gordon is long gone. Actually, I hope we still see the back of Larsson... sell him, there are better out there!
Let's have some red and white stripes with Ellis and Paolo.

If somebody did a banner of the clubs history then it will never be out of date. Sunderland greats would be a good one.
 
its harder than it looks, i done the one we have now but no one else has offered or done another, (in the last 2 years), I do have photoshop on my PC again so if i can be arsed i may have a go at another.

and the problem with history is they are not HD only SD so they look crap, or if you go even further back its black and white stripes, (because the pictures are black and white) and i dont think anyone would want that.

Bugger the past, Steve, bring it up to date...Fletcher/Johnson/O'Shea likely to be here a while. Stokoe statue/owner/manager, too.
 
There is only so much real estate on the banner though, we have to make them 1900 width, but those on 1200 or even 800 width monitors never see the sides, but dont put anything on the sides and those with 1900 monitors just see a small ****y thing in the middle.

you also have that stupid foreground bollocks covering the bottom half of the banner, its a pita to line everything up properly and make sure it looks ok for all monitors (thats probably impossible).

like i said if i can be bothered i may have a go but

1: its bloody hard to get everything looking good and lined up properly etc etc
2: I cant please everyone, some will like it some will hate it
3: I am no professional, just had a mess on at home, and I am colour blind which doesnt bloody help.
