Ok we used to do some games back in the day on 606. Now I am looking for input and ideas, but my thinking is this.

We get so many members to sign on to create a team from world players. You will need to pick 11 players a formation and a description of tactics.

We will each pick a player one after the other.

So once we have the members on board that want to play, I will draw names out of a hat. And that will be the running order to pick one player. Then the 2nd in the list picks and so on and so forth until we have our 11.

Once we have our teams I will create a fixture list, and every couple of days you will give me predictions on the scores and the average result will stand...


What do we think? If its a stupid idea just tell me to shut up lol

I'm guessing it would have to be existing players? And are we all picking a set position in each round? If not, Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar are obvious first picks
 
Was thinking just the players around now. And yep the first out the hat might go Messi then does the 2nd go Ronaldo it will be interesting to see how the picks go :)
 
First round of picks should be relatively predictable to some degree; Messi, Ronaldo, Falcao, Bale, Suarez, Allen, Iniesta, Ibrahimovic, Neymar...

The question is, will I get Neymar (not that it matters since you bunch of pricks don't rate him)
 
Yep we will all have our 11 in our heads, and will have to adjust (and curse lol) as someone picks a player from our team :) Will be a few surprises along the way I am sure, because if the guys on our board can be relied on for one thing....
Its to be unpredictable!

It could also take an age waiting for each person to take a turn

That's why I am open to ideas and thoughts from the group. We could maybe pick 3 players each turn? I just don't want the draw to automatically pick the winner.

The first pick would easily get the best side then. Maybe the order should be reversed for the second round?

If you are going to say people can pick two or three players at a time, maybe they shouldn't be allowed to pick the same position? Ie, two or three strikers in the first round

Maybe make them pick a keeper and a Defender in the first round, then we reverse the draw and they pick a midfield player and a striker?

I take it you will post the order and rules etc beforehand?
 
How about seeding players, so you can only pick one player from each seed. So if you had 10 players, you pick 10 first seed players (of any position) that people can chose from. Then you have a 2nd seed of say 20 that you chose 2 from, then a 3rd group etc.... Guess means getting a big list of players and then seeding them which is probably alot of work though.

Yep mate we will get it sorted first, ideas format. Then go forward with it. This could be something that runs and runs. And we will learn and grow as we go on.
