Probably because half the Man Utd fans voted for Liverpool whereas all the Arsenal fans voted for us.
The most liked teams are the non-threatening, uncontroversial, mid-table, smaller clubs whereas the most disliked are the most successful and/or wealthiest - and Stoke (because of the way they play).

The only anomaly appears to be Arsenal, who are obviously quite liked by fans of their former title rivals since they gave up the ghost, sold their best players, bought cheap replacements, stopped winning trophies and started patting themselves on the back for finishing 4th.
