Right, continuing the make believe and saying we get

And then Suarez leaves nice & early for let's say the conservative 40M

Do we:

Go looking for an immediate moderately superstar replacement, possibly blowing all 40M?

Go looking for another Suarez level (when we bought him) at the low to mid 20M?

If we can't find a direct replacement this summer (due to perspective targets still in contracts, won't come without CL etc) be patient & hold on to the money?

So names please:

1) Star we can get now
2) mid 20M player that you think will have a Suarez effect (positive lol)
3) world class star you'd wait for (still realistic, based on CL qualification next year)

And it's make believe so no point wasting time whinging that we won't get superstars, won't qualify for CL next year etc etc.
 
I wish we would dabble for Illaramendi or at least have him penciled in for next summer. Kid is going to run midfields for a long time!
 
I see no reason to move Coutinho or change our system heavily from the end of last season.

Players who are highly regarded around Europe but aren't world class level yet so the big teams aren't after them.

He's definitely realistic but don't think he's good enough tbh, we'll need someone better to fill Suarez' boots.

I am assuming suarez goes. We need the CB, CM and ST.
 
for me there is no plan for him, nor alberto. where do they fit? i see bench warming only and further i can only see suso on loan and owning going (i hope) to make any of it work... sterling and ibe to be out in the cold with these guys i guess.

why would he be a first choice?
